First off, here is the link to the original map.

As someone who is quite uncreative, I have decided to remake the Fusion map from TF2 inside Geneshift. It seems like it would play well in Geneshift and it doesn't have many vertically overlapping areas. I'll be updating my progress in this thread as I make it.

I loaded up the map in TF2 as a reference and this picture has also been very helpful.

For now, I have only made a very crude map with the approximate outlines and proportions of the original map, I haven't even added any heights yet. Just keep in mind that it really is just a very crude mockup and I already have quite a few things in mind that I have to change.

EDIT: I actually mostly finished the heights by now but I don't have time to upload pictures right now. I'll make an update tomorrow.

That is looking quite good from a vanilla perspective. I just want to make sure you keep in mind the "Extraction Truck" as that's a common part of the capture gamemode in Geneshift, as far as I know.

I think you may want to bump up playtesting on your list. It'd be a shame to put in decals and then have to redesign an area...

Nice man, would be great to see another snow map!

My only advice would be to make sure it's wide enough. This is perhaps the most common mistake people (myself included) make when doing maps. They make the scale too small. 1 tile in Geneshift is called 1m, but it's really more like 0.5m in real life, because players are twice as wide as real humans and run twice as fast. So if you think an area should be 5m wide, make it 10 tiles instead of 5. Basically double the size of everything, it makes the gameplay so much more epic and good for cars!
